School Lunches

Studies have shown that children concentrate better in lessons if they have had a fulfilling meal. We are very lucky that all of our meals are freshly prepared and cooked on both school sites.  Our school cooks care about the food they prepare and the children they serve and believe that school catering should be an integral part of school life and learning. Through encouragement, we try to develop the children's enjoyment, understanding and appreciation of good food. EATS menus are carefully compiled and feature many local items, reinforcing their commitment to support East Anglian producers. 

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

All children in Reception, Years One and Two are entitled to free lunches as part of the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meal policy.

Children in Years 3-6

School Meals for Key Stage 2 children cost £2.90 per day.

Why Apply for Free School Meals?

Even if your child is in Reception, Year 1, or Year 2 (and already receives Universal Infant Free School Meals), registering for the Free School Meals (FSM) scheme provides vital extra benefits:

Is My Child Eligible?

Your child may be eligible if you receive certain benefits, such as Income Support, Job seeker's Allowance, or Universal Credit (subject to income thresholds).

Privacy Matters: Please rest assured that the application process is completely confidential. Children who receive free school meals are not identified in the kitchen, as we use the same discreet payment/registration system for everyone.
