School Lunches
Studies have shown that children concentrate better in lessons if they have had a fulfilling meal. We are very lucky that all of our meals are freshly prepared and cooked on School site. Our school cook and dinner ladies care about the food they prepare and the children they serve, and believe that school catering should be an integral part of school life and learning. Through encouragement, we try to develop the children's enjoyment, understanding and appreciation of good food.
EATS menus are carefully compiled and feature many local items, reinforcing their commitment to support East Anglian producers. You will find a link to the current menu at the top of the page, along with the link to nutrition and allergen information for parents of children with special diets.
Our cooks will prepare the 1st main course option for all meals. The 2nd option is only served if booked at morning registration. Jacket Potato with a topping of baked beans, cheese or Tuna is available to order at registration. School dinners are paid for from your wallet on School Ping. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
All children in reception and years one and two are entitled to free lunches as part of the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meal policy.
Children in Years 3-6
School Meals for Key Stage 2 children cost £2.55 per day. Payment must be made on School Ping on a Friday, for the current week.
Free School Meals
Please consider registering for free school meals even if your children do not want school meals or are entitled to the free universal meal. Being registered entitles families to other benefits such as free music lessons, reduced charges for visits etc. The school also benefits, as some of the income the school received is based on the number of children entitled to free school meals. The process is very simple and confidential. You can check the criteria and apply online. If you have any queries, then please speak confidentially with the school office.
